Adrienne is our Office Manager and a Veterinary Office Assistant. She has worked at Henderson Animal Hospital since 2009. Adrienne has a passion for animal behaviour and is always interested in learning more to understand pets and wild animals even better. Because a pet’s health has a big impact on their behaviour, Adrienne chose to work in a veterinary practice.
She likes that rapid developments in the veterinary field make her learn new things all the time and that no two days are the same. Being the voice for pets, helping their owners understand their own pets better, is something she also really enjoys.
Personal
Adrienne was born in Winnipeg but now lives north of the city as she loved country life even more. She has loved animals her whole life. She did barn chores for her sister and assisted at the race track as a 12 year old until her mid teens.
Adrienne owns several pets. Dog Norman has the biggest ears. She likes to teach him new tricks and take him on walks.
Then there are cats Larry, who gets himself in trouble sometimes and Sally Barbra, who loves to carry her favourite toy around as if she is a dog.
Luther Lentil (unique names!) and Soy Sauce (guess his main colour) are respectively a Dwarf and a Syrian Hamster.
Adrienne also has 3 guinea pigs named Fig, Newton and Walnut. Fig is a “walking mullet” according to Adrienne as he has lots of hair. We all want to see a picture of him!
If you ask Adrienne to dress up at a nice charity event, she will most likely say yes, as she did that once as Louie the Lightning Bug.
Other than spending time in nature with her dog, she likes to do crafts and draw when she is not working.
