Tracey
Meet Tracey!
Tracey has been at Henderson Animal Hospital since 2017 and is a Veterinary Technologist. She has been a vet tech for more than 10 years, but has worked in animal care since she was 12. She has fostered cats and wildlife throughout her life.
Making veterinary care her career was the only thing that made sense to her, given her strong connection with and interest in animals.
She especially likes doing bloodwork (including collection), diagnostics, diabetic consults and catheter placement. Tracey likes to calm anxious patients and their owners as well.
All types of teaching and training is also something Tracey enjoys, from new technologists to volunteers and pet owners.
Personal
Tracey was born in Yorktown, Saskatchewan, but lived in Winnipeg most of her life.
Her pets recently passed away and because her husband is allergic to all furry animals, she needs to get all her animal cuddles at work. She may get some fish when her daughter is a little older.
Tracey is pretty good at playing a tune on piano by ear. We feel that is a really cool hidden talent.
When she is home she likes to cook and bake, do some gardening or gaming. She also loves going on a nature walk.
