Meet Jess
Jess started working at Henderson Animal Hospital in April 2025 and has worked in animal care for over 2 years.
One of Jess’ family members encouraged her to go into vet care as she has always loved to work with animals. Her most favourite tasks are doing lab work and pulling blood! Above all Jess wants a patient to thrive and she is happy to play a role in that.
Fun Fact: the staff sometimes calls her Messica, because well… let’s just say if a mess can be created, Jess will make it happen 🙂 Luckily she doesn’t mind that nickname at all and we all love her happy spirit!
Personal
Jess was born in Winnipeg and has spent most of her life here.
In her spare time she likes to watch movies with her cats, colour and spend some time outside. She also likes to try new places to eat, so you may find her in one of the many restaurants in Winnipeg!
Jess has quite a few pets: dogs Carly (13) and Raya (9) and cats named Zoey (17), Mitchell (7) and Whiskey (2). Raya is the biggest trouble maker and that’s the reason all of Jess’ cabinets have baby locks. Mitchell is close second as he steals fries, but he is also secretly Jess’ favourite.
